OLD HEADS
Old Heads is a short film that takes the full visual language of 90s east coast hip hop and populates it with entirely the wrong cast — retired old white guys, dead serious, no winking at the camera.
Built entirely inside a generative AI production pipeline, the project explores what becomes possible when AI tools are treated as a legitimate filmmaking medium. Every frame was art directed with the same intentionality as a traditional production — characters developed, environments constructed, a consistent visual world maintained across every shot.
The pipeline combined Midjourney for image generation and environment building, Nano Banana for character study and shot variation, Kling Pro for motion and cinematic transitions, and traditional post production for editing, color grading and sound.
Old Heads is as much a proof of concept as it is a film — demonstrating that a single director with the right tools and a strong visual language can build a fully realized cinematic world from scratch.
